AGRIVOLTAICS

WHAT IS AGRIVOLTAICS

Letting Solar and Agriculture Work for Each Other

A Naturally Symbiotic System

Better Growing Conditions. More Efficient Energy.

Crops, native grasses, and flowering plants can form a mutually beneficial relationship with solar panels. The panels provide diffused shade that protects plants from intense sunlight, lowers air temperatures, and reduces soil-water evaporation—creating a more comfortable environment for crops and farm workers alike.
In return, the plants release water vapor that naturally cools the panels from below. This cooling effect can improve photovoltaic performance and increase energy efficiency.

Innovation in the Field

Advancing Agrivoltaics Through Research

Our partner in Israel, The Doral Group, is at the forefront of agrivoltaics research and development. Through an extensive partnership with a local university, Doral is helping bring innovative agricultural and solar practices together—studying how crops can thrive beneath and between solar panels while clean energy is generated above.
